Steve Pereira is an experienced business broker who brings more than 40 years of diversified experience in the business world to Murphy Business Sales.

Personal Experience

In life’s ever-evolving journey, one’s path often takes unexpected turns. For Steve, the road to becoming a business broker was unexpected and unfolded in an unusual way which eventually led to acquiring a Murphy Business franchise. After creating, designing, and patenting a new consumer product, Steve was on the verge of acquiring a manufacturing business to help reduce his product’s production costs before taking it to market when the business owner who was selling decided he wasn’t ready to sell and canceled the transaction the day before escrow was scheduled to close. Impressed by how well Steve handled the situation, the seller’s broker offered him the opportunity to become a business broker instead a few weeks later.  After considering the offer, Steve decided to obtain a California real estate license first, and then agreed to accept the offer.

Before becoming a business broker, Steve had a 20+ year career as an expert witness in the fenestration industry. Throughout his tenure, he provided his professional expertise in the window and door industry to attorneys, insurance companies, manufacturers, and general contractors by providing site investigation, forensic testing, and testimonial services in the areas of product design, installation, and construction integration of materials in both residential and commercial properties with regards to construction defect, personal injury, and property damage matters.

Steve’s fenestration expertise was shaped by his prior position as Technical Director of CAWM (the California Association of Window Manufacturers) where he managed the association’s national certification program, co-authored and published national installation standards for the fenestration industry, staffed association meetings, and represented all association members at important state and national legislative events.

Earlier in his career, Steve played a pivotal role as QC and Facilities Manager for a U.S.-based automotive aftermarket product manufacturer in Asia, after spending over a decade in the aluminum extrusion manufacturing industry as the Engineering/Design Manager for several extrusion companies.

Together, these turns in Steve’s evolving journey have blended a unique tapestry of technical expertise, business ownership and professional acumen to deliver exceptional service intended to help clients successfully reach their goals.
